Frame By Frame Animation in Anime Studio

While Anime Studio wasn’t designed to be a robust frame by frame animation software, you can still achieve the effect with Switch Layers.

I’m sorry, but… If you named it “Anime Studio”, doesn’t that imply it’s designed for making ANIME?! Which is, fyi, FRAME BY FRAME. If you named it “Animation studio”, I would have less of a problem with it, but…I cannot be the only one who thinks that lazy ass artists out there, with actual talent, are wasting it on lazy, sloppy looking bone animations. I can’t be the only one who thinks that bone animation is the ugliest, sorriest excuse for animation ever. There’s no life in it, no real movement or feel. If you look at old disney movies, that’s frame by frame. The land before time, DBZ, Adventure time, The Simpsons, it’s all frame by frame. All the 2d animated classics that gave us an amazing childhood, and a good few of the modern cartoons are animated with care and precision, all frame by frame. Now, think of a single bone-animated movie or series that stands up to that or gives you the same feel of life. The answer is: There are none. Bone animation if fine for very short, amateur films or advertisements, but for anything else it just looks lazy, ugly and there is no life whatsoever. Walt Disney, Akira Toriyama, Matt Groening, they’d all be ashamed if the world was taken over by such a mediocre method of animation. I’ve wasted time and money for this program and frankly I got a better deal out of Flipnote for the Nintendo DS. I just…I’m very angry and upset right now, and I feel more like a victim than a customer of the damn company who sold me this. For way over £40. It’s a scam. It really is.

*Sigh* That wasn’t what, ALOT of people meant by frame by frame, In Adobe flash It’s mainly frame by frame. And the animation doesn’t look like shit. I’m beginning to think i wasted $40 dollars. Seriously SmithMacro. Don’t let me down.

Much simpler to use the Stoke Exposure tool on a single layer.Draw the art work using the Add Point Tool and the Paint Bucket- perhaps using a trace image as a guide – then use the Stoke Exposure tool to animate the drawing via the Timeline.

If you’ve done something wrong in multiple frames, how can you delete them? I press the delete button but it still shows the errored frames anyway!
