Introduction to Flash Basics

Classic, Motion and Shape Tweening - Watch this lesson for FREE!
Here are the lessons that will be covered:
- Introduction to the Flash Interface
- In the first video of this series I go over what Adobe Flash is, where to get it and become familiar with the software’s interface. Workspaces are also demonstrated in this tutorial.
- Overview of the Flash Tools
- In this lesson we take a look at all the tools on the toolbar. There are some new features exclusive to Adobe Flash CS5, like enhancements to the Bone and Deco Drawing Tools.
- Timeline, Layers and Stage Properties
- The timeline in Adobe Flash is essential as it maps out all animation and design aspects of our project files. We’ll go over layers, reading the timeline and other Stage Properties. We’ll also build on this lesson later when we learn how to utilize tweening animation.
- Bitmap VS Vector Graphics
- In this lesson I cover the differences between vector and bitmap graphics. Vector graphics can be created with any drawing tool in Flash. There are some things to be aware of too, like Object VS Non-Object Drawing. Finally, we’ll uncover the ability to break apart our images and convert them into loose vector-based drawings.
- The TLF and Classic Text Engines
- Learn the differences between Static, Input and Dynamic text. Each of these have a different purpose for design and interactive use (like using ActionScript). Plus, I show you some of the new graphical features TLF Text brings to the table.
- Symbols and the Library
- In this lesson we learn about the three different symbols types, Graphic, MovieClip and Button, and how to effectively utilize the Adobe Flash Library.
- Classic, Motion and Shape Tweening (watch for FREE!)
- Here I cover the differences between Classic, Motion and Shape Tweening. Tweening allows us to animated objects with a series of keyframes on a single layer. This can be great for easing the animation process!
- Color Effects, Blending Modes and Filters
- Here we take a look at the different special effects Adobe Flash provides for us. Making a symbol transparent, changing colors with tweening and apply glow effects are just a few things we cover in this lesson.
- Actions and Code Snippets Panels
- In the final lesson of this series we go over some very basic elements of ActionScript. We learn how to access the Actions panel and input code through it. Finally, we look at the Code Snippets Panel, a new item that has been introduced in Adobe Flash CS5.

First of ALL: The rookie ones think just because they just animated a stick via motion tween for one second, always thought that this is perfection, but a real project need at least, 45 seconds in the time length aspects for moderators and stuff. And, this people, think “I’m A Pro, I Need Good Tutorials Not This S*it.” And when you will see the final results, isn’t right at all. maybe, Thumbs Up? WHo AGree?

[..YouTube..] Hi. I think you need to take the period off of the end of your url in the description area. It gives (at least it did to me) an error after clicking it. Some people might not realize it and think your page is gone and you might lose some sales that way.

Its not hard to find ways of getting stuff online “free” if they really want & they could keep their mouths shut. I also get annoyed at people who complain about ads in videos. [..YouTube..] For over two years I have released new content for my viewers. That hasn’t changed by the way, I still release free tutorials. I currently have over 40 free Flash tutorials online. Only 2 of my tutorials are premium content. The premium Youtorials contain about as much info as you will find in a college level course and they cost way less. So if you can’t grasp that, then I doubt you’ll ever learn something as complicated as Flash. Flash requires patience. Learn that first.
